- Chain brake nuts
- Chain Tension Adjustment Screw
Step 1: Assembly
- Remove chain brake cover.
- Fit the chain bar to the body of the chainsaw.
- Fit the chain into the bar then pull the chain bar outwards to pre-tension the chain.
- Align chain brake holes and bolts as per image.
- Fit the chain brake assembly on the body of the chainsaw.
- Screw the nuts clockwise by hand, then secure with the spanner (do not tighten fully)
- Fasten chain brake nuts with multi-tool.
Step 2: Chain tensioning
- Tighten tension screw clockwise.
- Check chain tension.
- Tighten nuts with the multi-tool.
- Engage the chain brake.
Step 3: Starting procedure
- Prepare fuel & oil mixture (with fresh petrol under 30 days old).
- Mix E10 fuel with fuel additive for best performance.
- Switch the chainsaw on.
- Engage the chain brake.
- Push the primer bulb 8-10 times until filled with fuel.
- Fully pull the choke out.
- Pull the starter cord to prime the engine.
- Push the choke to 'start' position.
- Pull the cord to start the engine.
- Operate the trigger & safety lock to release the choke.
Step 4: Operating
- Engage the chain brake.
- Switch the chainsaw on.
- Push primer bulb 8-10 times until filled with fuel
- Pull the starter cord to start the engine.
- Release the chain brake.
- Press the trigger to release the choke.
Step 5: Hot start
- Engage the chain brake.
- Switch the chainsaw on.
- Pull the starter cord to start the engine.
- Disengage the chain brake
- Ready to use
